Key Topics from This Livestream
This livestream covered BTC, ETH, SOL, gold, ZEC, crude oil, and U.S. equity-related assets. Instructor Maoyao believes that the broader correction in the crypto market is not yet fully complete. Although the market has a short-term need for an oversold rebound, a rebound does not equal a trend reversal. Traders should prioritize right-side confirmation, waiting for price to break through key levels, complete a retest, or form a clear structure before entering, rather than buying the dip early based only on subjective forecasts.
1. BTC: The Daily Chart Remains Weak; Watch the 80,800 Level in the Short Term
BTC’s daily correction has not yet fully run its course, with price returning to consolidate near the previously highlighted $80,800 level. After briefly piercing below $80,000 over the weekend, price failed to attract sustained follow-through buying, and consecutive bearish candles have kept the daily structure weak. Judging from the candlestick pattern, MACD, and other technical indicators, the current move is closer to consolidation and repair within a downtrend than to a confirmed reversal.
In the short term, BTC has a need for an oversold rebound. Consecutive bullish rebound candles have appeared on the four-hour chart, while the one-hour and 15-minute time frames are attempting to form a small W-bottom. The area around $80,800 is both a potential neckline and a major resistance zone. The short-term rebound structure will become more complete only if price breaks above this level effectively and remains stable after a retest. If BTC cannot hold above it, the market may return to weak consolidation or even continue lower.
From a trading perspective, blindly chasing longs before the structure is confirmed is not recommended. A more reasonable approach is to wait for a break of the key level and then observe whether the retest holds, using right-side signals to decide whether to participate. Even if a rebound develops, a rapid return above $85,000 in the short term would still be difficult.
2. ETH: Weaker Than BTC, with Important Support Near 2,290
ETH’s daily structure is clearly weaker than BTC’s, and its capital-flow performance is also relatively soft. Price has pulled back to the strong support zone around the daily EMA144 and EMA169 and is also approaching the previously marked $2,290 support level. During the livestream, price rebounded to approximately $2,329, indicating temporary buying interest in this area, but not enough to confirm a trend reversal.
ETH’s daily and lower-time-frame indicators may be developing a secondary bullish divergence. If price makes another low while MACD downside momentum continues to weaken, a favorable short-term rebound setup may emerge. However, on the one-hour chart, ETH remains inside a descending channel, with several moving averages creating overhead resistance. The area near $2,360 is a potential neckline and an important observation level. The rebound may open further only after price breaks the descending trendline and holds above the key moving averages.
At this stage, traders should watch whether support around $2,290 holds and whether price can break through the $2,360 area. If BTC rebounds, ETH may follow, but because its own structure is weaker, the rebound may not outperform BTC.
3. SOL: Watch the Neckline and Resistance Near 102.5
SOL’s higher-time-frame trend is similar to ETH’s. It has also pulled back to the daily EMA144 and EMA169 area, but the daily close was weak. A potential W-bottom outline can be seen on the four-hour chart, although the secondary bullish divergence is not obvious, so it is more appropriate to wait for structural confirmation.
The key neckline on the one-hour chart is around 102.5. The short-term rebound structure will be confirmed only if price breaks through, completes a retest, and continues higher. The 15-minute chart has moved back above some moving averages, but the area near $102 remains a clear resistance zone. If price rebounds to this area and fails to break through, it may come under pressure again.
4. Gold: Secondary Bullish Divergence on the Daily Chart and a Need for an Oversold Rebound
Gold experienced a sizable earlier pullback and showed relatively strong rebound momentum on the day of the livestream. On the daily MACD, price lows continued to move lower while the downside momentum bars gradually shortened, creating a relatively clear secondary bullish divergence. This structure usually means that the probability of a short-term rebound is rising, but it does not mean that price must immediately enter a one-way rally.
Traders can watch whether gold first consolidates to absorb resistance and then extends its rebound. For now, it is more appropriate to view the move as an oversold recovery on the daily time frame rather than conclude that a new one-way trend has begun. With numerous macroeconomic releases and corporate earnings reports this week, gold volatility may remain elevated, so position sizing and stop-losses are essential.
5. ZEC: Relatively Strong in a Weak Market; Watch Resistance Near 126–127
ZEC was one of the relatively strong assets discussed in this livestream. The previously highlighted daily support was around 111.6, while the weekend low was approximately 111.8. After finding demand in the support zone, price rebounded by nearly 10%. Compared with BTC and ETH, ZEC posted stronger bullish candles on the four-hour and one-hour charts, and a relatively clear ascending channel has formed on the lower time frames.
The 15-minute structure remains strong. Even if price consolidates sideways in the short term, its overall strength remains intact as long as it does not decisively break below the ascending channel and key moving averages. Resistance around 126–127 should be watched. Strong coins should not be chased blindly after a rapid surge; it is better to wait for confirmation on a pullback or a second opportunity after resistance is broken.
6. Crude Oil: Watch Support at 99–100 After Consecutive Pullbacks
After the earlier large bullish candle, crude oil pulled back for several consecutive sessions and gave back much of its gains. Three consecutive bearish candles formed on the daily chart, leaving the structure weak. If price completely breaks below the origin area of the earlier large bullish candle, it would indicate insufficient buying support and the market could weaken further.
In the short term, focus on support around 99–100. During the livestream, the one-hour chart had not yet broken decisively below the $100 area. If a major positive catalyst later produces a strong bullish candle, the daily chart could form an N-shaped rebound structure. If support fails, the market should no longer be treated as a strong bullish setup.
7. U.S. Stocks and On-Chain Stocks: Earnings-Week Volatility Is Rising; Beware of Liquidity Risk
Several large companies will report earnings this week, and U.S. stocks and related on-chain stocks may experience significant volatility. Although on-chain stocks provide longer trading hours, their trading volume remains small compared with traditional exchanges. Outside regular U.S. market hours, insufficient liquidity can more easily cause rapid price moves or stop-loss sweeps followed by reversals.
When trading these products, reduce leverage and position size and avoid heavy exposure during periods of poor liquidity. A correct directional view does not guarantee a profitable trade. If the entry price, stop distance, and position size are unreasonable, normal volatility may still force an early exit.
8. Position and Leverage Management: Nominal Leverage Is Not the Same as Effective Leverage
During the livestream, Instructor Maoyao emphasized the differences among cross margin, isolated margin, and effective leverage. Effective leverage should be calculated from the notional value of the position relative to total account equity, rather than from the leverage multiple shown on the order screen alone. For example, if an account has total equity of 10,000 USDT and uses 500 USDT of margin to open a position with a notional value of 50,000 USDT, the account-level effective leverage is approximately 5×, not the 100× shown on the interface.
A high-leverage isolated-margin position may be liquidated after only a small adverse price move, and part of the margin may be allocated to risk reserves, so losses can materialize faster than a trader expects. Whether using cross or isolated margin, traders must set stop-losses in advance, control notional position size, and define the maximum loss they can tolerate. When a false breakout occurs, exit promptly instead of allowing a stop-loss trade to turn into liquidation.
9. Trading Method: Replace Subjective Forecasts with Right-Side Confirmation
This livestream repeatedly emphasized right-side trading. When the market reaches key support or resistance, traders should not simply assume that price will reverse. Instead, wait for signals such as a breakout, retest, moving-average support, divergence, or completion of a chart pattern. Left-side trading can offer a better entry price but carries a higher error rate and greater drawdown risk. Right-side trading sacrifices part of the move but makes the signal more verifiable.
Chart patterns are not 100% reliable. An ascending triangle, for example, only indicates a relatively higher probability of an upside breakout; it does not rule out a downside break. When studying patterns, traders should consider the preceding trend, volume, moving averages, MACD, and key price levels, and develop recognition skills through extensive review of historical charts. Do not use the eventual outcome to assume that a decision was inevitably correct at the time; evaluate whether the entry was reasonable based on the information then available.
Livestream Conclusion
The market remains in a phase where weak adjustment and short-term oversold recovery coexist. For BTC, watch for breakout confirmation near $80,800. For ETH, watch support at $2,290 and the neckline at $2,360. For SOL, watch the 102.5 area. ZEC remains relatively strong, gold has a need for a daily rebound, and crude oil must hold the 99–100 area. The overall strategy remains to wait for confirmation, control position size, and use strict stop-losses. Do not chase rallies or use excessive leverage in illiquid products.
