SOL’s rebound has put the $110 threshold back in focus, but buyers still have a nearer hurdle to clear. The accompanying KTX SOL/USDT quote is 106.35 USDT, up 4.33% over 24 hours. Reaching 110 would require a further gain of roughly 3.4%. The same market view shows a 24-hour high of 107.42 and a low of 100.95.
The immediate question is whether SOL can turn that recovery into sustained trading above its recent high. Reaching 110 would extend the rebound; holding there would be a separate test. A stronger case needs a close above the relevant level, participation that lasts beyond the first burst, and a pullback that buyers can absorb.
107.42 comes before the bigger round number
The 15-minute sequence shows a recovery from a visible low near 104.6, followed by higher trading around 106 and a push above 107. That push did not produce a clean continuation: price subsequently pulled back toward 106 before returning to 106.35. Buyers have recovered ground, while sellers have also shown they can interrupt the move.
Roughly 106.5–106.6 and 106.9–107.0 are nearby areas to watch before the displayed 24-hour high at 107.42. A brief trade through the high would show that price has reached new ground. Closing above it and avoiding an immediate return to the old range would provide better evidence that buyers can keep that ground.
The distinction matters for 110. It lies above the chart’s visible price range, so the image does not establish a history of rejection or heavy trading there. Its relevance here is as a round-number threshold. There is no chart-backed reason to treat it as an impenetrable ceiling, or to assume a move toward it is already underway.
A close above resistance needs buyers on the return
A 15-minute close above 107.42 would be an initial improvement in this short-term structure. An hourly close above the same area, if one develops, would add evidence that the move has lasted beyond a single fast candle. The supplied image does not show an hourly confirmation, and a short-term breakout would not by itself establish a daily trend reversal.
The more revealing development would come afterward. If price revisits the breakout area and buyers prevent a sustained return below it, the former ceiling begins to function as a floor. This is the support-and-resistance role change described in CME Group’s technical-analysis material. Levels are better treated as areas than exact prices that must hold to the cent.
The same test would apply if SOL subsequently reaches 110. A wick above the number followed by a close below it would leave the breakout uncertain. Holding above it through a completed observation period, then absorbing a return toward it, would make the continuation argument more persuasive. No particular candle pattern can make that outcome certain.
The first volume burst has to produce follow-through
There are conspicuous volume bars around the later price swings. That suggests more activity during those intervals, but activity alone does not tell us that lasting demand has arrived. Higher turnover can accompany aggressive selling as well as buying, and a large bar followed by a retreat can mark a contested move.
The displayed bar-volume reading is 79, compared with volume averages of 126, 217 and 184 over five, ten and twenty bars. If the current 15-minute interval is unfinished, comparing its partial volume directly with completed intervals would understate its eventual total. The image therefore does not settle whether participation is fading.
A useful comparison would be between completed breakout bars and recent completed bars on the same venue and timeframe. Expanding activity as SOL clears 107.42, followed by a quieter pullback that holds, would support the bullish interpretation. Heavy activity that repeatedly fails to lift price through the high would show that heavier trading has not yet overcome resistance.
Losing the recovery base would change the argument
A failed attempt at 110 and a breakdown in the existing rebound are different events. SOL could pause below 110 while its short-term recovery remains intact. The case weakens more clearly if price loses nearby support, attempts to recover it, and is repeatedly rejected.
| Area to monitor | What would matter next |
|---|---|
| 107.0–107.42 | A close above the nearby ceiling, followed by a pullback that holds, would improve the short-term case. |
| 110 | A psychological threshold for a further advance; acceptance above it would need fresh evidence. |
| 106.0–106.2, then around 105.8 | Losing both would weaken the latest recovery attempt and make lower support more relevant. |
| 105.4–105.5 | A repeated trading area in the visible sequence; rejection after a break below it would increase downside concern. |
| Near 104.6 | The visible swing low. A sustained break would undercut the recovery base shown in this chart. |
The panel’s 100.95 low over 24 hours is a separate reference, outside the visible intraday sequence. It should not be mistaken for support already tested by the candles shown. These zones describe conditional outcomes, rather than an instruction to place orders at each level.
Execution also matters near a crowded threshold. The displayed 1.67 million USDT of 24-hour turnover is trading activity, not net capital inflow or a promise of depth at 110. Resting orders can change before price reaches them. KTX’s explanation of liquidity, slippage and trade execution explains why a headline volume figure does not determine the price available for a particular order.
SOL also needs to hold up when the market pauses
A rally that accompanies a broad crypto rebound can still be tradable, but it offers weaker evidence of SOL-specific strength. Comparing SOL with Bitcoin over matching intervals, and watching SOL/BTC, would help distinguish the two. Relative strength would be more convincing if SOL retained its breakout area while the wider market consolidated. The distinction is explored in KTX’s analysis of SOL and LINK moving with the broader market.
Readers following the next test can view SOL/USDT spot trading on KTX, or create a KTX account to review regional availability and trading terms. The relevant observations are still ahead: whether 107.42 gives way, whether completed volume supports the move, and whether buyers defend the regained area before 110 becomes the next live test.
