This livestream focused on the short-term volatility of BTC and ETH during a key macroeconomic data window, with particular attention to whether major support levels would hold and whether the rebound following the sharp decline could continue. As volatility increased significantly during the session, Instructor Zeyu analyzed BTC, ETH, gold, crude oil, LINK, AAVE, BCH, OPEN, MU and DASH across multiple timeframes. The overall approach remained the same: identify the key levels first, then determine the long or short bias, without blindly chasing rapid rallies or sell-offs.
1. Macroeconomic Data Window and Market Rhythm
The livestream took place during the release window for important U.S. inflation data. Market sentiment was cautious, and crypto assets, gold and U.S. equity-related instruments all experienced substantial volatility. Around the data release, prices can quickly sweep stop-loss orders before choosing a new direction. Traders therefore should not chase a position based on a single large bullish or bearish candle. A more prudent approach is to wait for the initial wave of volatility to end, then observe whether price can reclaim key support or break an important structure.
The market’s central conflict is not simply bullish versus bearish. It is a short-term contest shaped jointly by macroeconomic data, interest-rate expectations and risk appetite. Excessive position size, high leverage or the absence of a stop-loss can magnify risk in this environment.
2. BTC Market Analysis and Trading Approach
BTC rebounded after a rapid decline to around $80,300, but selling pressure remained after the rebound entered the $83,000–$84,000 region. During the livestream, price mainly fluctuated around $83,000, reflecting a clear short-term divide between buyers and sellers.
The first focus is whether the $83,000 area can stabilize. If price can reclaim this level and maintain support, a short-term rebound toward $84,000–$84,300 remains possible. If $83,000 continues to fail, the next levels to monitor are $82,000, $81,000 and the area around the previous low.
Structurally, BTC remains in a recovery phase after a steep decline. Until price breaks through overhead resistance again, a short-term rebound should not be interpreted directly as a trend reversal. However, when price approaches the previous low and a strong support zone, it is also unwise to keep chasing shorts. Entries should wait for confirmation at support or confirmation of resistance after a rebound.
3. ETH Market Analysis and Trading Approach
ETH continues to trade weaker than BTC overall. Price previously fell to around $2,407 and then consolidated near $2,500 after rebounding, but the $2,535–$2,580 region still presents clear resistance. ETH pulled back again during the livestream, indicating limited recovery strength from buyers.
In the short term, first watch the $2,460–$2,480 region, with additional support around $2,430–$2,400. If $2,400 holds, traders can continue to watch for a double bottom or an oversold rebound. If price decisively breaks below $2,400, further downside in search of support should be anticipated.
ETH must first reclaim $2,500 and then break through $2,535–$2,580 before the rebound structure improves. Until the key resistance area is regained, chasing longs requires caution. Spot traders can focus on scaling into positions after a deeper pullback, while derivatives traders should reduce leverage and use strict stop-losses.
4. Gold and Crude Oil Trading Approach
Gold fell sharply during the livestream, dropping continuously from above $4,200 to around $4,100 as short-term bearish momentum strengthened. The key focus is whether $4,100 and the area around the previous low can provide support. If price stabilizes near $4,100 and reclaims $4,140–$4,160, an oversold rebound may be considered. If $4,100 continues to fail, traders should not rush to buy the dip.
Gold’s overhead resistance remains concentrated around $4,160 and $4,200. A rapid data-driven decline is not suitable for blindly chasing shorts; waiting for confirmation after a rebound into resistance is more prudent.
Crude oil remained volatile at elevated levels near $94–$95. Short-term attention should stay on resistance near the previous high and the risk of a pullback from elevated levels. If oil remains strong, it may continue to influence expectations for inflation and the interest-rate path. If short-term support breaks, the high-level correction may expand further.
5. Trading Approaches for LINK, AAVE and BCH
LINK entered a correction after its earlier advance, with price pulling back to just above $12. The key question is whether effective support can form near $12, while the $13.50–$14 region represents rebound resistance. Until resistance is reclaimed, the priority should be waiting for the pullback to stabilize rather than repeatedly adding positions during the decline.
AAVE has entered a clear short-term correction after retreating from its previous high. The support response around $150–$160 needs to be monitored. If support fails, further downside remains possible; only after price stabilizes and reclaims overhead resistance should a rebound trade be considered.
BCH experienced a deep pullback after its earlier rapid rally and has now entered a high-volatility recovery phase. Short-term support can be monitored in the $260–$275 region, with initial resistance around $290–$305. Because this type of asset can move sharply, traders should avoid chasing rallies and keep position sizes controlled.
6. Trading Approaches for OPEN, MU and DASH
OPEN remains weak on the higher timeframe, with price continuing to trade in a descending structure. Even if a short-term rebound occurs, traders should first confirm whether a clear bottoming structure has formed. Without stabilization on stronger volume or a breakout above the downtrend, a large decline alone is not sufficient reason to buy the dip.
MU has entered a correction after a recent rally, and its short-term structure is showing signs of weakening. The semiconductor sector is sensitive to U.S. equity risk appetite, interest-rate expectations and market sentiment. Traders should therefore wait for a clear stabilization signal near key support before considering a rebound opportunity.
DASH has continued to retreat from its previous high and is now trading near $49. In the short term, watch whether support can form in the $45–$49 region; the first rebound resistance is around $53–$56. Until the trend reverses, the preferred approach is to reduce exposure into rebounds or focus on short-term trades.
7. Key Conclusions
For BTC, $83,000 is the short-term dividing line, with $82,000, $81,000 and the previous-low region as the main downside support areas. ETH remains weaker than BTC; watch support at $2,460–$2,480 and $2,400, with resistance at $2,535–$2,580.
After gold’s sharp decline, the main focus is whether $4,100 can hold, while crude oil remains centered on the elevated $94–$95 region. LINK, AAVE, BCH, OPEN, MU and DASH are all in varying stages of correction or consolidation. Trades should wait for confirmation at key support and avoid blindly buying during a rapid decline.
Around macroeconomic data releases, prices can produce rapid wicks and repeated stop-loss sweeps. The priority is to control position size, reduce leverage, set stop-losses and wait for the market to establish a clear direction. Do not chase rallies or sell-offs in the short term; participate only after confirmation at key levels.
