This livestream focused on the key support levels and long-versus-short divergence in BTC and ETH. It also examined this week’s U.S. CPI and PPI data, interest-rate expectations, ETF flows, U.S. Treasury yields, and changes in oil prices to assess the short-term direction of the crypto market. The second half covered trading ideas for gold, Micron, SanDisk, SK hynix, TRUMP, GRAM, and DOT. The overall view was to first observe whether key support holds, avoid chasing rallies or sell-offs before direction is confirmed, and control position size and use stop-losses ahead of major macroeconomic releases.
1. Market Background and Key Events This Week
The livestream noted that this week features a dense schedule of major macroeconomic releases. U.S. September CPI is due on October 14, U.S. September PPI is in focus on October 15, and Federal Reserve remarks are scheduled for October 16. Three consecutive days of macro events could amplify market volatility, particularly by affecting the Fed’s future rate path and the pricing of risk assets. Therefore, taking a heavily concentrated directional position before the data is released is not advisable.
The crypto market declined earlier in the day as South Korean equities opened sharply lower and the technology sector came under pressure. South Korean stocks and semiconductor-related assets fell noticeably, weighing on Micron, SanDisk, SK hynix, and crypto assets as risk appetite weakened. BTC then rebounded quickly from its lows, but the livestream viewed the move as a recovery driven more by post-decline leverage clearing, short covering, and dip buying than by any clearly positive catalyst.
U.S. medium- and long-term Treasury yields began to decline, which is a temporary positive for risk assets, but whether the move can continue still depends on CPI, PPI, and other data. If inflation comes in above expectations, Treasury yields and expectations of rate hikes may rise again. Only weaker-than-expected data would give risk assets room for a more sustainable rebound.
2. BTC Market Analysis and Trading Ideas
BTC previously pulled back from around $84,000, and the first stage of the short position took profit near $82,000. The price then rebounded rapidly to around $83,200 during the livestream. The most important level now is $83,000, which serves both as short-term support and as the dividing line for whether the rebound can continue.
If BTC cannot break decisively below $83,000, it would indicate that buyers are still stepping in at lower levels. Short positions should consider taking profit and waiting for an opportunity to reverse long. If $83,000 is broken decisively, the next focus is strong support near $81,000. That level also corresponds to the previous market structure and a key retracement zone for the entire advance. A high-volume break below it would significantly increase the probability of a further decline toward $78,000.
On the higher time frame, BTC has not yet produced a clear weekly top signal. Recent candles have long lower wicks, indicating continued buying support below. A short-term bearish scenario can therefore be considered, but the medium- to long-term trend should not be declared bearish unless $81,000 is decisively lost. Trading decisions should be based on whether key levels break, rather than blindly chasing shorts near $83,000.
3. ETH Market Analysis and Trading Ideas
ETH found support near $2,430 in the morning and then rebounded to around $2,533, but it still underperformed BTC overall. The livestream suggested prioritizing the relatively stronger BTC for long positions. For hedging or short-term shorts, ETH’s weaker structure deserves more attention.
ETH’s first resistance zone is concentrated between $2,550 and $2,580, with further resistance near $2,650. On the downside, attention remains on whether a double-bottom structure can form around $2,400. Although a double bottom is possible at this stage, the pattern is not yet fully confirmed and must be assessed together with the U.S. market open and the macroeconomic data released afterward.
From a flow perspective, spot ETH ETFs have recorded net outflows for several consecutive trading days, showing a clear decline in institutional risk appetite. From the September 22 interim high near $2,800, ETH’s maximum drawdown was about 14%, versus roughly 7% for BTC over the same period. ETH therefore fell about twice as much as BTC, which is an important reason for its pronounced underperformance in this move.
4. ETFs, Oil Prices, and Interest-Rate Expectations
Flow data shown during the livestream indicated that both spot BTC and ETH ETFs were experiencing outflows, with the persistent outflows from ETH being more pronounced. Institutional buying has been limited when market conditions improve, while positions are reduced quickly when negative developments appear. This suggests that Wall Street capital is still focused on capital preservation and reducing risk exposure.
Oil prices remain elevated, while uncertainty in the Middle East persists. Unless oil enters a clear trend reversal, inflationary pressure will be slow to ease, limiting the Federal Reserve’s room to shift toward a more accommodative stance. At the same time, market expectations of future rate hikes are rising. The prediction market still shows an unchanged October policy rate as the consensus view, but the probability of a 25-basis-point hike has risen from about 16% to nearly 20%. The upcoming CPI release will directly affect that probability.
5. Gold Trading Ideas
Gold has been relatively weak recently and can temporarily be viewed as consolidating in a range between $4,100 and $4,200. Until the price breaks out decisively, a short-term approach is to favor shorts near the upper boundary and longs near the lower boundary. Key resistance is around $4,200, while primary support is around $4,100. Once the range is genuinely broken, the trading plan can be adjusted in the direction of the breakout.
6. U.S. Stocks and the Semiconductor Sector
Micron’s price action is clearly weak, and short positions established in the rebound-and-retracement zone have already gained substantial room. The livestream did not recommend blindly buying the dip during a rapid decline. The next key support is around $90 to $91; traders can wait for the price to stabilize and produce a confirmation signal before considering a rebound trade.
SanDisk was likewise suitable for short positions during the prior rebound. After several legs of decline, it is now approaching interim support. A small long position may be considered for a short-term rebound, but the stop-loss must be placed below $140. This is a lower-time-frame rebound setup and does not mean the daily trend has turned decisively bullish.
SK hynix is already oversold on the four-hour chart, but the daily chart still shows no clear bottom. Buying the dip solely because of an oversold indicator is therefore not recommended. The livestream remained cautious on U.S. equities overall, noting that high interest rates, elevated oil prices, and rising corporate financing costs will continue to pressure technology-stock valuations. Risk control should remain the priority in the short term.
7. TRUMP, GRAM, and Altcoin Selection
For TRUMP, the livestream argued that its main drivers are political-figure narratives and market sentiment, while sustainable use cases and ecosystem support remain limited. As the election cycle approaches, its price is also vulnerable to political risk and shifts in public opinion. It is therefore not recommended as a medium- to long-term value asset.
GRAM similarly has a relatively low circulating supply and substantial future token-unlock pressure. The livestream cautioned that selecting altcoins is currently difficult. In addition to technical structure, traders must examine circulating supply, unlock schedules, the project team’s operating capability, and delisting risk. If the quality of an altcoin cannot be assessed, holding BTC will usually offer a clearer risk-reward profile.
8. DOT Trading Ideas
DOT continues to maintain a relatively intact bullish structure on the four-hour chart. The price has broken above a long-term descending trendline and completed a retest. As long as the retest support is not decisively broken, spot or medium-term long positions can remain on the watchlist, using that support zone as the defensive level.
DOT is first testing resistance near $1.30, an area it has failed to break several times. If it later breaks out on higher volume or holds firmly above that level, the next target could be around $1.50. However, trading volume at the bottom has not expanded significantly, so excessive leverage is inappropriate even though the structure remains bullish.
9. Key Takeaways
BTC’s short-term dividing line is $83,000, with stronger support at $81,000. If $81,000 is lost on higher volume, attention shifts to around $78,000. ETH remains weaker than BTC, with resistance at $2,550 to $2,580 and near $2,650, while the market continues to watch whether an effective double bottom forms around $2,400.
This week’s CPI, PPI, and Federal Reserve remarks may generate substantial volatility. ETF flows are currently weak, oil prices remain elevated, and long-term Treasury yields are still an important influence. Traders should therefore wait for confirmation at key levels, avoid chasing either rallies or sell-offs, and use strict stop-losses. Gold remains focused on the $4,100 to $4,200 range. Micron and SK hynix should not be bought blindly on weakness; SanDisk may offer a small rebound trade with a clearly defined stop; and DOT should be watched for a breakout above $1.30.
