Google Authenticator is a multi-factor authentication tool developed by Google, designed to provide additional security for online accounts by generating dynamic verification codes. It operates based on the Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) algorithm, updating 6-8 digit codes every 30 seconds to effectively prevent brute-force attacks, phishing, and password leaks.
Steps to Bind Google Authentication
Visit the KTX website (www.ktx.com), log in to your KTX account, and click [Personal Center] — [Settings] in the upper right corner.
Enter the settings page and click the [Bind] button in the Google authentication option.
If you haven't downloaded and installed Google Authenticator on your mobile phone, please click the [Install Now] button to enter the quick download QR code display page.
Use your mobile phone to scan the code and it will redirect you to the Google Play Store or the Apple Store for downloading and installation.
After completing the download and installation and logging in to Google Authenticator, click the [I Have Completed the Installation of Google Authenticattor] button on the web page side and return to the Google authentication binding page.
Enter the Google binding page, open the Google Authenticator app, click the "+" button in the lower right corner, select the "Scan Barcode" option, aim the camera of your mobile phone at the QR code for scanning. The app will automatically identify and add the relevant account information.
If the camera cannot be used normally, you can also manually enter the Google key to add Google authentication. After completing the addition, enter the 6-digit Google verification code generated on your mobile phone for the corresponding KTX account into the Google Authenticator input box, and the binding will be successful.
- Some Android mobile phones do not have Google Play services installed, and you need to download [Google Installer] and [Google Framework Services].
- To scan the QR code, you need to enable the camera permission and authorize it when using this function. Some models require restarting the mobile phone after completing the settings.
- When users log in, withdraw cash, add a whitelist address, enable coin withdrawal without verification, or set up a sub-account, they need to enter the verification code for Google authentication.
- Do not delete the Google verification code account in Google Authenticator without backing it up. Otherwise, you will not be able to perform Google authentication operations on this account in the future.
